Life Lately

I apologize for my lack of presence here in blog land.
I'm getting back into the swing of things, I promise!

Linking up with Life on LeRoy for a big "Life Lately" dump.

(1) Last week was a busy one.
Thursday alone I had a work convention and an awards banquet for the United Way.
That's a whole lot of hand-shaking, head-nodding, and standing.

(2) When you neglect your fur babies, you buy them toys.

(3) Dexter in the sink.  Feeling much better.
He was hospitalized 2 weeks ago and diagnosed with Feline Urinary Tract Disease.
Basically, his bladder became blocked which is 'typical' for young male cats.
It can block again at any time, so now he's on a prescription diet.
Needless to say, we were pretty worried about our guy -- and knowing it can happen again freaks us out.
But for now he's back to normal and feeling fine, which is all we could want.

(4) One of the speakers at my work convention drew this with chalk on a black sheet.
It took him literally 5 minutes.
Pretty bad ass.
And messy.

(5) Minneapolis Home and Garden Show.
It's cool to go and look, but these home shows are much less helpful than advertised.
We do have a lot of fun projects planned for this spring, though... budget permitting.

(6) Made a nice batch of shrimp and grits.
It was delicious and simple, even if it took 3 different stores to find authentic grits.
I highly recommend giving it a try!
{It's just tomato sauce, lemon, paprika, and cayenne pepper}

(7) On Saturday night, we met up with some friends for dinner at Tavern on France and then went bowling.
I'm not sure if you can see it, but I bowled a whopping 19 my first game.
Clearly I was just a tad rusty / full from my cheeseburger.
I'm blaming the burger.

(8) I finally took Jeremiah to this delicious sandwich shop - Which Wich?
I suggest the Cuban! Holy yum.

(9) TGIF'ing with blogger ladies!
Not pictured: Kelly's fiance, Matt -- who was a trooper.

(10) Sheldon.
His face.

What's new in your world?
