{Let's Get Crockin'} Appetizers

Everyone loves apps, right?
One of our favorite things to do is order a few at a restaurant to share instead of ordering separate meals.
During Super Bowl Sunday, we wanted easy, delicious [and somewhat healthy] appetizers to munch on.
These were just the ticket!

Spinach Artichoke Dip

{6 cups dip}
1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes
1 cup boiling water
1 (10 oz.) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed/drained/squeezed dry
1 (14 oz.) can quartered artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 (8 oz.) tub light cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz.) carton fat free sour cream
3/4 cup grated light Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup fat free milk
1/2 cup crumbled fat free feta cheese
1/2 cup fat free mayonnaise (not pictured...)
1 tbsp. onion powder
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
Pita Chips (2 bags) or fresh pita rounds (about 12)

Combine sun-dried tomatoes and boiling water in bowl; let stand for 1 hour/until soft
Place remaining ingredients into 3.5 quart (small) slow cooker; stir well
Cover and cook on low heat for 1 hour
Drain and stir in tomatoes
Cook for 1 additional hour
Serve with pitas or your favorite crusty bread!

Sweet Sesame Wings

3 pounds chicken wings
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup honey
2 tbsp. vegetable oil (or sesame oil)
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp. ginger
1 garlic clove
2 green onions, chopped
1 tsp. sesame seeds

Mix sauce, honey, oil, and ketchup well
Combine remaining ingredients in slow cooker, coating each wing
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours
Serve with additional sesame seeds, green onions and/or dip
