this photo serves no real purpose, other than to remind me of warmer times,
on our honeymoon in Mexico...
{why do I do this to myself}
Here's how I did:
(2) Start replacing one of my 3 cups of
coffee daily with decaf. I gotta start
weening myself off the juice.
I did about 50/50. Small steps, right?
(3) Work Out. Like, not just walking the dog -- but
actually breaking a sweat. Preferably not at my desk.
Meh. Kind of. We got another dog, so I'm walking two now. That counts.
(4) Convince hubs to buy me an elliptical
for Christmas. I am so close.
Nope. Didn't happen. But I joined the gym a few weeks ago, and I'm incorporating that into my routine. Checking that off the list, anyway.
(5) Volunteer once.
(6) Give to one more charity.
(7) Buy a cute pair of high boots. I desperately need some. [I use the term "desperately" loosely]
Nope. Didn't want to spend the monies. Bonus points?
(8) Find a cute dress for the hubs' fancy
work party at the W Hotel [do you like my priorities?]
It was 80s themed. And I think I did pretty good.
(9) Cook all meals at home -- except for date nights once a week.
Husband is the worst saboteur. It's all his fault...
(10) Buy a plane ticket to visit my family in Florida.
Half done. I swear.
I did some of them. Could we worse, eh?
What did you check off of your list in December?
Are you a resolutions person? Did you keep (or exceed) yours for 2012?
Will you make a list for 2013?

Also, I can't believe 2012 is coming to a close.
It has been one incredible year.
I started this blog, got married, traveled, made our house a home,
formed new friendships - and did more than I ever thought possible.

Hubby and I have tried and tried not to eat out more than 2x a week but with us being on christmas break its been hard - ugh!! Good luck with the rest of them!
ReplyDeletewhat gym did you join?
ReplyDeleteI'm a resolution person :) I do monthly goals too! Seems easier to convince myself to try something for 30 days than for 365... haha
ReplyDeleteI don't make lists anymore... I used to but I had myself doing way too much and never relaxing... Maybe I could start out with a small list... lol
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Jess... have an amazing year:)
Resolutions, I kinda suck at but I like doing little mini goals. It makes it seem more attainable to me.
ReplyDeleteNew Follower...Chelsea from SWACOS sent me. I have been looking for a cute pair of high boots too...but haven't found any that I like (and that don't cost a fortune yet).
ReplyDeleteI failed totally at mine for 2012, but I've still made some for 2013! Happy New Year Jess!
