Jess asked me to guest post for her while she is busy keeping her family company while they are in town for her Minnesota wedding reception.
I love that I get to guest post for her today because today is my ONE YEAR wedding anniversary! I had my wedding ceremony and reception in Minnesota so I thought I would give a nice recap of what happened one year ago yesterday on a beautiful fall day here in MN :)
Why the date of 10/21/11?
I (I should probably should say 'we' but I picked this day before he even proposed and he agreed with the date after I suggested it to him after we were engaged) choose fall because it actually happens to be my favorite season with my favorite colors during my favorite sports season, football (that his favorite too), and in my favorite month because Halloween falls in October which is my favorite holiday. I just love October and everything about it! We decided on '21' as the day because it is my husband's 'number' and soon after we started dating became 'our' number and it happened to fall on a Friday in 2011 which meant saving money. It was too perfect of a day for us to pick anything else!
All about our day...
I woke up to a chilly but still beautiful fall day with no rain in the forecast. I didn't mind if it rained that day, just not during photos since those would be outside. Girls got ready at our home and the boys went golfing.
Then it was time for photos outside...
Our first look...the best! I loved seeing him and having him see me in my dress! Our time together before everyone else was amazing and fun!
Our wedding party...our friends...the amazing people that stood by our side on our special day!
We are very blessed!!

We had our ceremony @ the Nazareth Chapel on Northwestern College campus. We didn't go to college there...we didn't belong to the church...we picked this church because it was GORGEOUS! Actually...it was breathtaking and perfect for our fall wedding!
Our reception was F U N fun!!! We had it at a golf course in the Twin Cities. We loved watching everyone having a good time...including ourselves!
Our wedding, our day...10/21/11 was by the far most special and amazing day of my life! It is what I dreamed of since I was little and wish I could relive that day over and over again to try to remember every little detail!
Thank you Jess for having me take over your blog today! I enjoyed re-living my wedding day over here...and I CAN NOT WAIT to read and see pictures from your amazing extended wedding celebrations!!!
